Hiya! I'm Meri, the creative little weirdo behind Delightfully Dinky 💖

So who am I? I'm an autistic, queer artist from the UK! I loved drawing ever since I was a little kid, but once I seriously started to consider it a career option I studied game development throughout my teens and 20s, and left uni with an art masters - but sadly I couldn't get a foothold in that industry no matter how hard I tried. It was a dark and disheartening time...

But fear not, because I realised that - rather than waiting around for someone to offer me an opportunity - I could make my own opportunities! I hired myself, and used all the skills I'd learned (plus some new ones I picked up along the way!) to start up my own business: Delightfully Dinky~

I started out on Etsy at first, and to my surprise it was a roaring success. In my first year I had over 100 orders and lots of people praised my work. All my products come from a place of my own yearning - imagining things that I wished could exist, things that I would buy if only I could find someone making them. What a joy it was to discover I could make them a reality myself! I'm so grateful to all of the wonderful shoppers who felt that same yearning and chose to give my products a chance - thank you~!

Now I'm here, trying to expand my horizons with my very own shop ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ⁺‧₊˚♡゙

That's about it! ... Wait, you want to know even more about me? Well, I'm in my 30s now and happier than ever in spite of the ever-deteriorating state of the world. I'm a big fan of anime and manga, video games, Star Trek, My Little Pony, table top roleplaying games, alternative fashion, axolotls and puppies. I live with my beautiful wife, and we spend most of our time writing yuri together and deciding what to have for dinner.
